DRAGON BALL: BROKEN DESTINY
Dragon Ball: Broken Destiny is an alternate universe Dragon Ball role playing game set 400 years after the failed attempt at sealing Piccolo Daimao by Master Muten Roshi. In the process, both figures were weakened but this only resulted in a long game- the building of children, or disciples, and factions from this effort. In the time that followed, Goku, who had saved Roshi only to be himself saved by a mysterious caped figure and his hulking friend, both with tails, went on to train and learn what it meant to be what he was, a ‘Saiyan’. Muten Roshi used his last seven remaining years on the Earth to train the likes of Krillin and Yamucha to be the very best they could be, and to hold out until he could see his first pseudo-grandchild in Son Gohan, the child of Son Goku.
A mysterious figure in the likes of Raditz, the supposed brother of Goku, showed up with even more people who were like Goku, but that was the last time any visitors from elsewhere came to Earth. In the two hundred years that have followed, there have been wars and peace. There have been great changes to the Earth and great status quos.
The setting itself explained now, our focus should be explained; Dragon Ball: Broken Destiny is a semi-literate Role Playing Game which focuses on the Earth and the factions which struggle to control it in the time 400 years after the failed sealing of Piccolo Daimao. You can play anything from your everyday average Earthling who wants to be the greatest martial artist, to a child of Piccolo Daimao, to a descendant of the great warrior race, the Saiyans. You can even play an android.
We’re a player focused, story focused site which aims to tell great adventure stories, have humorous scenes, and revel in the adventure, martial arts, capsule-punk, wuxia masterpiece that is Dragon Ball, before it became a battle manga only. Which is where we differ from many Dragon Ball Sites, we’re both Earth focused and not allowing ‘cosmic’ tier things at the moment. We want to let the players build their legends and THEN push the site eventually into the cosmic scale, without making players feel like they’re just tacked on members of someone else’s story like simply not modifying it could have done.
